Spectroscopy signal and image processing

Applying pattern recognition methods are important research trend for spectroscopy signal and image processing, one of our researches is putting forward effective qualitative and quantitative analysis method. According to different detection objects and requirements, a variety of spectral and image analysis methods are proposed: Three-dimensional Fluorescence Spectroscopy Discrimination Method for Fat Oxidation of Dairy Product, Training Dictionary and Sparse Representation method for Diesel Property Detection, Wavelet Projection Pursuit Regression Method for Near-infrared Spectroscopy Calibration, Sparse representation classification for Rapid identification of edible oil and swill-cooked dirty oil, and so on. The applicant in nonparametric fitting calculation research for agricultural products, in order to improve qualitative and quantitative prediction performance, verified the feasibility of proposed method.


Quality analysis instrument

Our research is focused on intelligent nondestructive quality analysis instrument for agricultural or food products. We have developed and manufactured following instruments: rice wine composition analyzer based on near infrared spectrum (sugar, alcohol degrees, acidity and PH value), Chinese tea on-line evaluation device, special optical fiber probe for marine product solutions, and so on. The above applicants based on spectrum techniques are including optical path design, signal collection and processing, UI software programming and machining. All the products are in industrialization promotion stage, and still need systematically optimization.


New approaches for optical properties

During the postdoctoral work, we found the agricultural organizations exist scattering, reflection and absorption at the same time. Simply using the spectral transmission or reflection measurement cannot guarantee the accuracy of analysis. We set up the integrated optical fiber probe system for fitting of diffuse light intensity and its known tissue optical properties parameters. The scattering and absorption component and their principle are very complex, the adaptability of test method still need to be optimized from many influencing factors. According to the experts advice, we try to set up new approaches.
